Once you have registered with your local residents' registration office, your documents are transferred automatically to the immigration office.

Nationals from a country outside the EU/EFTA will receive a written invitation to come to the Immigration Office of Schwyz in order for them to produce a biometric residence permit. A photo will be taken and biometric data recorded. 

Everyone else will be invited to pick up their residence permit at the local residents' registration office. You can also opt for it to be sent to you.
