Shopping the finest

Globus Delicatessa

The newly refurbished "Deli" on the basement floor of the "Globus" department store in the heart of Zurich brings customers even closer to the shop's products; as you pass the counters, the butcher is just about to make delicious-looking sausages, and the cheesemaker reveals how your cheese is refined to give it its distinctive flavour - how could you possibly resist... Perhaps a moment to check in with yourself before you get carried away and strain your budget too much!

Jelmoli Food Market

Jelmoli's shop-in-shop concept is represented on all its floors, including the food court on the basement floor. Here, too, retail food shops have their stalls, giving you that market feeling. You will be able to find almost any culinary treat you might wish for. Take "Wonderpots Frozen Yoghurt" for example - the company's first branch outside Germany - you can't miss it as you enter Jelmoli's Food Market.

Bär Butchers

A butcher's shop that has been serving its very happy customers since 1874. Look out for their famous meat loaf.

Bakery Vohdin

Probably the oldest and smallest bakery in Zurich with only 4.3 square meters of shop space. It is run in the 4th generation and is known for the delicious pretzels and perhaps the most delicate amaretti in Switzerland.

Cheese

Chäsegge – the Cheese Corner – in Zurich-Oerlkon is a cheese specialist shop with a vast range of cheeses of all ages and flavours. Next to it is Delicatessen Ziegler.

Vergani wine merchants

Over 120 years old and far from done and dusted. This family business has been able to reinvent themselves again and again. For example, they launched their own wine range two years ago and called it "L'anima di Vergani" (the soul of Vergani). Have a look at their online shop, but you may find it well worth visiting them in person.
