How to bring a pet

If you intend to bring your pet with you to Switzerland, check on the latest regulations in advance. Make sure that you have the correct documents; not only for Switzerland but for all countries you pass through to get to Switzerland. Generally, Switzerland does not require animals to put into a quarantine. The authorities require, however, that cats and dogs have an international health certificate bearing proof of a current rabies vaccination and certifying the good health of the animal. This document must be issued at least 30 days before entering Switzerland.
